How long can you go without a refrigerator?

As long as you have less than 4 hours, you should be fine, unless the temperatures are very high. We have two babies at home, so feeding 24 hours before we leave is very difficult. Is it possible for the fridge to break down if the door is not opened for 4-5 months? I don't know the weather in India well enough to tell you what to do, but if you choose to let it work, make sure a friend stops by once a week and makes sure it's still working. If you're going to be out for a long time, it's good to turn off anything that doesn't really need to be on, such as an Ice Trailer Rental near Walterboro SC.

Not only does that not waste energy, but it reduces the chance of something bad happening. The problem with refrigerators is that they accumulate moisture inside and seal well. That's a bad combination if moisture starts to enter the box. The way to approach that is to address both issues. After the fridge has been turned off for a while, make sure there isn't a pool of water in a tray or somewhere. This includes the result of ice melting inside the freezer.

Once everything is dry, address the second problem by keeping the doors open. The fridge will be no different from any other box back then. There's no reason for new moisture to build up, and it's ventilated anyway. If you're turning off a refrigerator, you should keep the doors open.

If you don't, the humidity in the refrigerator will cause mold to grow everywhere, even in places behind the panels that you can't clean without having to seriously disassemble them.
